Would anybody be interested in drawing from a model at The Compound? It would be very easy to set up a drawing (or painting or sculpting) session through the Bay Area Models Guild. Their website, www.bayareamodelsguild.org, includes photos of many of their models.
If there's any interest in this, I'd be happy to help make it happen.
I would be interested. -Dates and Times? I have also gotten models through Craigslist, but you also have to really review respondents carefully for flakes/freaks and the clueless. "What? You want me take off my clothes and sit still in a chair for $20 an hour?"
Dear Virginia,
Thanks for your interest. So far, you're the only one, so I don't know if this would fly.
Flakey models are, or can be, a problem for sure when you work with craigslist, though
I've had some good experiences, too.
As for dates/times...the last time I tried to get one of these drawing groups going,
most of the artists preferred an evening slot: 5-9 or 7-10. A weekday evening would be better for me than a weekend.
We could try a one-off drawing session and see what kind of interest it generates. If there's a demand for more, we could try something ongoing.
